Founded in the 21st year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1895), the company was originally named “Hua Ji Daokou Roast Chicken” and later established the brand “Baoshengxiang Roast Chicken Old Shop.” Having been passed down through five generations, it has accumulated a rich heritage and exquisite craftsmanship in the field of roast chicken production. Today, it is a private joint-stock enterprise integrating production, processing, sales, and service. The company currently operates two production sites: the original facility, completed and put into operation in 2008, covers an area of 17 mu; and the new facility, constructed in 2016 with an investment of 250 million yuan, spans 95 mu. The company operates international-standard intelligent production lines, achieving standardized production from slaughtering to boiling and soft-packaging. Its main product lines include fresh roast chicken, soft-packaged roast chicken, chicken by-products, and beef and lamb, with products distributed nationwide. The company has consistently prioritized technological innovation, replacing the traditional “deep-frying” process with a “non-frying” coloring technique. The roasted chicken produced through this non-frying coloring process features a more vibrant color and a more delicious flavor. The shop was renamed Bao Sheng Xiang Roasted Chicken Shop.
1978
From a young age, Bao Gang studied under his father and mastered the art of making roast chicken. After graduating from high school, he officially took over the family’s roast-chicken business.
1992
Upon taking over the business, the fourth-generation heir, Hua Baogang, renamed the shop Hua Baogang Roast Chicken Restaurant and began operating it alongside the original brand name, Baoshengxiang Roast Chicken Shop.
1996
Officially registered the “Huabao Gang” trademark, marking the start of brand-driven development.

The old plant area has been completed and put into operation, achieving industrial-scale production.
